Order in Costa Rica

After our tour of the rainforest in Costa Rica, our guide informed us that we would be stopping to get refreshments and see crocodiles. To everyones surprise these various fruits, nuts and vegetables jars were there when we arrived. They were wonderful to look at, plus enjoy. The top comment among us was the way everything was in perfect order.

The proprietor wasn’t happy about everyone taking photographs. Eventually, he started smiling when everyone began purchasing drinks or snacks.

This lone crocodile would soon be invaded by others.

Soon there were two crocodiles.

Hey …. what’s a party without a group of crocodiles in perfect order!!!

Crocodile: a large predatory semiaquatic reptile with long jaws, long tail, short legs, and a horny textured skin, using submersion and stealth to approach prey unseen. The crocodile has been extensively hunted for its valuable skin.

    • We were on a bridge above the water. I photographed them with my zoom lens. I got closer photos then I expected. I wouldn’t like to be anywhere near them either. We have alligators in the lake behind my home but we have an enclosed screen area. However, one never knows. I never ventured out. I’m happy to enjoy nature from inside my cage. LOL

    • Yes, they really do need to be avoided. They weren’t happy. There was a great deal of rough housing.
Fortunately, we were observing them from a bridge above.I photographed these with a zoom lens. There were hundreds of them in every size. They all migrate to this area.
We have alligators in Florida. It was nice to learn the difference between crocodiles and alligators. We get alligators in the lake behind my home. I have a cage around the pool for that reason. Do not mess with them. LOL
      Thanks for popping by Tina.
