    • Disturbing – the perfect word to describe this statue. It didn’t have a description plaque or
a name for the artist. I’ve written to the museum in hopes of an answer. ~~~~ : – O
I think she might have been a slave. I took so many photos because her face was
so intense. I’ll post the answer if I am written back.

    • hahaha – riding bareback naked – no. I think she may have been a slave. I wasn’t able to find a plaque
with the descrition or the artists name. If I find out I will post it. We go to this museum a lot. It’s a favorite
of ours and there are many beautiful gardens where outdoor concerts are held. ~~~~ : – )

    • I’ve written the museum for the answers, Gilly. Whe I took the photo I looked for a plaque with the description of it or the artists name. There wasn’t any. We go to this museum often. When I go again I will ask one of the docent if they don’t write back.
I can’t imagine the desire to purchase it to begin with. The woman looks like she might have been a slave or native indian from one of the Florida tribes. I was fascinated with her expression. It’s the reason I took so many pix’s of her face. I’ll post the answer once I know. Thanks !!! ~~~~ : – O ❤
