Weekly Photo Challenge – The Hue of You
Abstract sculpture showcasing black, white, gray and a pop of red creates a sense of color without overwhelming saturated color.
The Hue of You – I am all of the colors of the rainbow. It’s impossible to find one that represents who I am. The variety of colors in me is as diverse as I need them to be.
Here are the reasons –
Red is the color of action, confidence, courage and vitality.
Pink is the color of love and beauty.
Brown is the color of the earth, of order and convention.
Orange is the color of the vitality of endurance.
Gold is the color of wealth, prosperity and wisdom.
Blue is the color of life, nature, fertility and of well-being.
Purple is the color of royalty, magic and mystery.
Indigo is the color of intuition, meditation and deep contemplation.
Black is the color of death, the earth and stability.
Grey is the color of sorrow, security and maturity.
White is the absence of color. It conceals black and it reveals white.

I’m pleased you like the painting and the sculpture. I framed the sculpture
for the photo but it’s freeform. It’s quite large, almost the size of a king headboard.
We purchased the painting when vacationing in St. Maarten. The artists was having
a gallery / home tour. She was quite the hostess.
Thanks Sophia for appreciating this fabulous art we’ve acquired.
Issy xoxo

I love your answer. I never did well on the question, “What is your favorite color?” All of them, depending on my mood! 🙂

I’m with you on limiting myself to one color. I think each color makes us feel different.
Glad you agree …. ~~~~~ : – )

The watercolor of the Mother and Child was done by an artist from St. Maarten. I have collections
of paintings that I purchase on travels or at art shows before I retired. I am a silversmith jeweler
with a hidden desire to paint which I do for my own enjoyment. My husband is a metal artist. The sculpture
is large about 58″ X 42″. It’s part of our private collection. Glad you enjoyed my entries.
Your welcome on the pingback.
