Travel Theme – Peaceful

Bench---Peaceful--(2)-web-signedPeacefulness surrounds me as I hear a songbird’s trill …. I drift away so peacefully

Bench---Peaceful-Trees--(2) web signedThere are times to be quiet and times to be peaceful

Bench---Woman-Reading-(2)-webNo peace is greater than the one within yourself … be peaceful.

The woman sitting on the bench is unknown to me. She looked very peaceful. I couldn’t resist a photo opportunity. She never noticed. The best photo’s are the ones unposed. Enjoy …!!!!

  1. Ah, yes, I have heard that before. It must be the Spanish moss that hangs and looks ghost-like at night while swinging in the wind.
I wrote a post about it on my writing blog.
But, I so enjoy visiting this museum as it is a wonderful place to wander the gardens and take beautiful photographs. It is a pleasure to meet you, as well. Thanks for your visit and comment.
    Namaste …

  2. Sitting there while having some herbal tea, some biscuits and a rich book in the lovely afternoon will be lovely.
But If you want to know, according to our culture, those trees are favorite living places for many ghosts. 😀

    Nice to meet you Isadora…:)

    • I’m so pleased you found these locations to be the perfect spot to sit under. The trees in the 2nd and 3rd photo are Banyan Trees. I wrote about them here –
The tree in the first photo escapes me at the moment. I know what it is but can’t recall. The fuzzy downy looking things hanging are spanish moss. From what I understand, they are parasites that live off of the tree. At times, they can overwhelm a tree and kill it.
These photos were taken at my favorite museum in Sarasota, Florida called the Ringling Museum. This was the home of the Ringlings. It’s a peaceful place for wandering the gardens and to relax all day for a small fee. The perfect place for photo’s, too.
      Hope I’ve helped you ….

      • Banyans of course, they are so lovely as is the Spanish moss but not so good if it is that destructive. The Ringling must be heaven, I so enjoy visiting gardens, they are great places to pootle for th day! Thanks Issy 🙂

  3. Stunning photo’s for the challenge Issy! The first one looks like a beautiful painting and yes, the best photo’s are the unposed ones. There is so much more to capture. Thanks for sharing these beauties hon. 😀 *hugs*

    • WOW … thank you, Sophia. I love this museum. The grounds are very peaceful and one can wandering all around.
This woman was settled in for an afternoon of reading. No picnics allowed but they do have a very nice indoor and
outdoor spot for you to enjoy a meal. Glad you enjoyed viewing the pix’s. xoxo

    • I love wandering through the gardens at this very beautiful Ringling Museum. It is located in Sarasota, Florida.
This was the Ringling’s summer home. It is a massive world of peaceful settings. It’s now a museum. Many prestigous
weddings are held there. Glad you liked viewing the photos … thank you for visiting and leaving your lovely comment.
