Splatters of Color and Hue:

Color is the quality of an object or substance with respect to light reflected by the object, usually determined visually by measurement of hue, saturation, and brightness of the reflected light; saturation or chroma; hue.

Glass Plate - Primary colors

I find color to be an essential part of my life. On many levels, color is important to me. As an artist, who has been in the art world for 28 years, it has been a source of visual pleasure. Seeing the work of artists around me, as well as, the use of color from my own artwork has made color an integral part of my life. It is a source of joy, pleasure, wonder, thrill and delight due to the wonders of what can be done with color but because of its’ healing properties, too.

Kindred Spirits # 2

According to the Color Therapy web – site: Color therapy, also known as chromotherapy, is often facilitated in the healing rooms of alternative health practitioners. Color therapy is classified as a vibrational healing modality. Vibrational medicine incorporates the use of chi energies within living organisms such as plants, gemstones and crystals, water, sunlight, and sound.
That's a Good One - close

Color is simply a form of visible light, of electromagnetic energy. All the primary colors reflected in the rainbow carry their own unique healing properties. The sun alone is a wonderful healer! Just imagine what life would be like without sunshine. It has been proven that lack of sunlight contributes to depression for some people.

Glass Flowers - red-orange

A therapist trained in color therapy applies light and color in the form of tools, visualization, or verbal suggestion to balance energy in the areas of our bodies that are lacking vibrance, be it physical, emotional, spiritual, or mental.

I’m sure my love of art and my fascination with color has helped me in many ways to keep my spirit elevated from day to day. I love color and my photo’s will showcase some of the many works of colorful art that I have in my collection.

  5. Gorgeous, I love the glass flowers and the plate best of all. Seeing the painting ‘that’s a good one’ reminds me of the artist Beryl Cook, if you’ve never heard of her google her, I think you might like her work.

    • The glass flowers a blown glass by a Flroida artist. The bowl is made from clay with a gloss finish. It is from a New York artist. I am of to check out the artist Beryl Cook. The artist that did that one created it in watercolors and lives in Florida. Thanks for the info, Gilly .
