    • LOL … that’s a hoot, Mark. I have frogs in my pond behind the house, too. The photo was taken at the Myakka River State Park. I was about 400′ away from that big boy. I had a telephoto lens. He was so still I almost missed seeing him. Another photographer pointed him out to me. Glad you liked the shot and THANKS for a fun comment.

    • He was HUGE. He was very still. I hardly noticed him. A fellow photographer pointed him out to me. I had a telephoto lens that shoots up to 300′. I was very far away. It was beautiful to see him in his elements. The Myakka River State park is a short 25 minute drive from me. We had visited for a picnic.

    • I shot the photo at the Myakka River State park. It is about 25 minutes from where I live. I had a telescopic lens that’s shoots from a distance of up to 300′. He was huge and I’m sure fast if I had fallen into his territory. There is a lot of wildlife still left to see at that park.
      Oh – you noticed the book. GREAT It looks quite nice on the sidebar. I hope your selling like mad.

      • The selling is slow-going, but I think that’s to be expected. Everyone says it’s a marathon, not a sprint. The book has to be out there and word of mouth has to spread. I’m hopeful, though… Thanks! 🙂
